Heritage Plaza, located on Albany’s last remaining brick street, is home to Thronateeska’s campus which includes the Science Museum and Wetherbee Planetarium, as well as the History Museum housed in the 1913 Union Station train depot. A rail car display is located behind the depot building. Administrative offices are housed in the Historic Fryer-Merritt house. Thronateeska is also home to the South Georgia Archives, which catalogues, stores, and cares for all of the collections at Thronateeska, and is open to the public for research purposes.
